The Agriculture Teachers Association offers the ATAT Scholarship to members’ children upon their graduation from high school. Scholarships are awarded to all eligible applicants who meet ATAT membership requirements and all listed scholarship requirements.

Eligibility:
The applicant must be a graduating senior and the son/stepson or daughter/stepdaughter in good standing with the ATAT and must meet the following requirements.

Requirements:
Active Members: must have been a member for the past four consecutive years.

Associate members: before becoming an associate member, they were an active member for three consecutive years and have maintained associate membership every year since.

Retired members: Honorary Life member (a member for 25 years+ before retiring).

Please follow the link below to complete the application. Once completed an email confirmation will be sent to the email address included in the application. After all the applications are submitted and a check of eligibility is done notification of the award along with the scholarship agreement form will be emailed to the student. The agreement form will also be placed on the Agriculture Teachers Association website under Members>Scholarship.

The Summers Foundation, which provides a grant to the foundation to support activities related to Day at the Capital and Legislative Lead offers scholarships to students who are engaged in civic activities. The two-year Sumners scholarships at Austin College, Howard Payne University, Schreiner University, and Texas Wesleyan University are available for students beginning their junior year. Preferred majors are in the area of political science, although scholarships have been granted in education, history, journalism, pre-law, and other disciplines.At-large scholarships support qualified students who demonstrate a passion for self-government. In addition to academic excellence, the trustees seek young men and women who are civically engaged and possess a capacity for leadership.  Trustees are looking for students that are actively working to further our democracy.  A cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 is required and must be maintained if selected as a Sumners Scholar.  Students must be US citizens.  Scholarships are for rising juniors with funds to be applied for the junior and senior years of undergraduate work only.
